  10. What the data told us • Users search redundantly across multiple platforms for their content, and export and assemble that content • Some proprietary content is unavailable on OvidSP • Librarian administrators have to train their users on multiple platforms and their end-users resist it

What is Ovid Universal Search? • Universal Search is a multi-platform search engine, integrated into OvidSP • Customers can “connect” to external platforms, free internet search engines, and their own OPACs • Connections available for 640 sources and 5,400 titles (information bases – databases, collections of journals, etc.)
