  6. Many colleges look specifically for foreign language courses when evaluating high school transcripts. • Almost any job or career can be enhanced by skills in a foreign language (enhanced meaning you can earn more money!) • Foreign language is FUN!

  7. Can I take more than one foreign language?

  8. Of course! Some students at West are currently taking French, Spanish and German! • Students in other countries often take 2 or 3 foreign languages before they graduate! • If you are a freshman now, you can start Level A in a second foreign language and take the Regents Exam when you are a senior.

  9. College Credit for Level Cthrough ECC and NCCC • Earn up to 7 credits over two years • Bridge the gap between high school and college language courses • Prepare for a minor or a major • Take care of your college foreign language requirements before you get there • Impress college admissions officers

  10. Travel Opportunities Students enrolled in the LOTE courses will have the opportunity to apply to travel on our Ken-Ton school exchanges to France, Germany or Spain as well as our French Trip to Québec City

  11. Language Clubs Students have the opportunity to further their knowledge and cultural appreciation via the Language Clubs Language Club activities are often an extension of class activities
