  8. Area and Perimeter • Of the designs, which have an area of 8 square meters?

  9. Problem 1: Adam needs a dog pen for his 3 dogs. He would like to use one of the figure designs for the dog pen. Use your Area and Perimeter information to find the following things for Adam. • Table 1: Calculate the cost of fencing for each figure design if fencing costs $25 per meter. Record and show your work on the first table for all the figures on the student worksheet.

Use your Area and Perimeter information to find the following things for Adam. • Table 2: Calculate the cost of flooring for each figure design if flooring costs $30 per meter. Record and show your work on the second table for all the figures on the student worksheet.

  11. Problem 1: Adam needs a dog pen for his 3 dogs. He would like to use one of the figure designs for the dog pen. Use your Area and Perimeter information to find the following things for Adam. • Table 3: Calculate the TOTAL cost of creating the dog pen with fencing and flooring for each figure design. Record and show your work on the third table for all the figures on the student worksheet.

  12. Problem 2: • What accounts for the difference in the prices of the dog pens with the area of 8 square meters?

  13. Problem 3: • If two designs have the same area and the same perimeter, must they look exactly the same? Make a sketch to help explain your answer.
