  5. WWDU 2002 / Tutorial 11.09.2002 • usability testing of interactive systems (introductory tutorial) • whether an interactive product satisfies context-specific usability requirements • VNET5 • the procedure of user validation and selection of appropriate methods and approaches • training preventional and behavioral changes on Video Display units • self-improvement by the user of his working condition for own health and safety • HealthCare Project • interactive testing of existing website concerning the relevance and function • Common Sense – versus – ergonomic standards • designing new ergonomic solutions with respecting standards

  6. WWDU 2002 / Papers 11.09.2002 eLearning and Internet Training H.Krueger, S. Guttormsen-Schär, P. J.Haubner project workshop for students at using internet-based videoconference technology (Microsoft NetMeeting, BSCW software) have been organized to evaluate distributed CSCW the intention was to get an impression and students’ feedback what communication channel is the most efficient 76,9% of the students recommended others to participate in the project workshop after experiment positive feedback was prevalent, negative feedback was mostly related to technological factors

  7. WWDU 2002 / Papers 11.09.2002 Experimental interfaces for a locomotion assistance device Y. Bellik, R. Farcy • triangulating laser telemeter “Teletact” adapted to the space perception for the blind people • 50 blind persons served in the experiment • during training time three experimental interfaces (sonorous, tactile and force feedback) have been tested and compared • results • using of tactile interface gave the most encouraging results • difficulty to merge rapidly the sonorous info with the proprioceptive one • force feedback interface have water tightness problem (weather conditions) • to use correctly the device a training course is necessary Demo
