    9. In addition, in order to provide an even longer timeframe for those customers who want it, Oracle offers a lifetime support offering. This applies to all 3 product lines. There are 3 levels of support we offer: Premier support: provides maintenance and support of Oracle technology and apps for 5 years from the general availability date. Extended support: extends premier support for an additional 3 years on select releases for an additional fee. Sustaining support: provides access to major product and technology releases, technical support and access to online support tools. Added bonus for customers running multiple product lines as now Oracle provides a standard support policy. We understand that people need to be able to leverage the investment they’ve made and in some cases for a very long period of time – and we want to make sure we do the best job of supporting you. Now our customers can adopt new technology at a pace that makes sense to them, knowing that we’ll always support and enhance the solutions they currently have. New Manager Self-service Transactions (e.g., Country Extensions, VOE) Compensation Workbench / Total Comp Statement Objectives Management Global Benefits Solution Localizations: Nordics, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Korea Mgr SS transactions – Enterprise doesn’t have concept of localized SS. We do, with transactions automatically enforcing local presentation/validation according to the legislation of the person on whom the transaction is being performed. VOE is verification of employment – SS transaction for an employee to request and then generate approved online doc verifying employment and relevant details. This can then be referred to by , say the mortgage lender…. On top of R12, we’re providing powerful cascading objectives mgmt – eg. As part of a performance appraisal you might set a sales vp an objective of number of sales of a given new product. He can then cascade that quantified objective down to his staff in proportion. Full tracability back up the tree is supported. Same can apply to more qualitative objectives. Cascading objectives is a very hot space in HCM marketplace at moment. Global benefits soln – Enterprise soln is North America only. eBus is global. Whilst flexible benefits has historically been a NA-only business practice, this is changing as companies around the world look to introduce it to retain staff cost-effectively. We’ve seen uptake esp in Netherlands and UK, and even have 1 customer about to go live on it in Japan…. Localizations: we deliver HR/SS only localizations in Eastern Europe for Poland, Hungary and Russia.     21. CRM Product Strategy Q: Which product line will form the basis for Oracle Fusion CRM Applications? A: Siebel CRM will be the centerpiece of Oracle’s Fusion CRM Application strategy. As part of Oracle Fusion Applications, we will evaluate all of Oracle’s CRM product lines to define the best functionality, data model, and design points required to meet the requirements of the diverse industries, geographies, and company sizes that Oracle currently supports. Siebel products will form the baseline for most product areas and we will then add any important functionality that exists in Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft CRM, and JD Edwards CRM to CRM Fusion Applications

Greatest business insight, and this is really trying to get to the point that we feel information matters, and it’s information you can trust, not just talking about compliance, but focusing on getting high quality real time information. This next generation of applications will be built around that single data model that will provide a single source of truth, yet be open to other sources of information and other applications.   We want customers to be able to use that data model to share a common repository across these applications and inter-operate across heterogeneous applications. When we talk about this, one of the first abilities that we’ll provide to those customers will be the customer data hub. We’ve got customers that are already running on it, we’ve got references. It’s something that works and can be available to all of our customers. We’ll also deploy these technologies and provide them with better business processes that will help them imbed business intelligence across all of these systems, to really have cross-system dashboards. So a lot of value, focused on information, providing great business insight. So let’s drill into each one of these. Greatest business insight, and this is really trying to get to the point that we feel information matters, and it’s information you can trust, not just talking about compliance, but focusing on getting high quality real time information. Deep & Adaptive Industry Processes Information You Can Use Tailorable business process automation: flow definition and management Standards-based extensibility Broad API / web services support BPEL Certification The second point around deep and adaptive industry processes and I’ll talk about the industries later, but we really need to focus on the linkage between information and process. Absolutely important that both of those things are critical and it’s really difficult to have one or the other, you need to have both. And we’re going to continue to build industry-specific functionality in all of our next releases. It’s a core focus of everything that we’re doing.   We’re going to add more by each industry. We’re picking those industries very carefully and you’ve seen one of them come out in the acquisition of Retek. It’s a great example of how we’ll really be going forward to provide very deep, very adaptable industry processes.   In addition to that, we’re going to be working with a lot of partners to help us really move forward very quickly into these areas, to provide better business flows that, again, are adaptable across all of these systems. And one of the reasons that we get excited about these architectures like service-oriented architecture and applications, is that because they are more component based, it gives people a better, easier way to really integrate across different systems and across these different processes in an industry to go very deep and to be able to be much more competitive in the areas. So, BPEL is going to be a critical technology that we’re going to leverage there. And again, BPEL is going to be a significant technology that we have available today and are certifying these applications so that people can take advantage of it today. The second point around deep and adaptive industry processes and I’ll talk about the industries later, but we really need to focus on the linkage between information and process. This is one thing they’ve always wanted. And if you look at a typical enterprise system, there’s a high level of productivity and agility in the early phases, but over time, as the system continues to change, those changes become more and more difficult and more and more expensive. And in SAP’s case, this happens in every phase. Service-oriented architecture gives us an ability to be more agile, throughout the entire life cycle, and dramatically improve the manageability and the cost of the system.   And the last design principle, really, of Project Fusion is around superior ownership experience. I think this is one of those things that really is going to set us apart from everyone. It’s going to change the way that we develop our software, the way that we deliver it to our customers, the way that they actually maintain it over time and even upgrade it. And over history, there’s been a lot of dependencies on change management and upgrading to these new applications. It’s been hard and risky for people. Even the ongoing testing, the dependencies between products, we need to focus on providing them a better ability to upgrade and patch and really not worry about whether it’s going to work, that it will work and it’s going to improve the way they do this over time.   So we are really focused on making these applications self-managing. You’ve heard of self-managed servers and databases, we want to take that to the next level in applications, to lower the cost of ownership and to just make this experience better. So we will offer certified configurations, secure configurations that we know will work. We’ve tested it and instead of having to focus on testing, we will just know that it will work and we’ll save a lot of money for our customers and provide an overall superior ownership experience throughout that entire process.   And if you think about it, companies have always lacked agility. Oracle's investment developing and support SQL Standards helped Oracle become the largest enterprise software vendor in the World.   Oracle is now investing in the development and support of standards to fuel its business expansion beyond core RDBMS Products into Internet Computing, End-to-end business process solutions, and Horizontal solutions, such as for integration and electronic document integration, and Vertical industry solutions, such as financial services, chemical, and health care. Oracle believes standards that are technology neutral and open, or market leading, are a key way to support interoperability and innovation, and to encourage the adoption of emerging technologies that can often lead to new solutions, process improvements, and lower overall cost of ownership.
