  1. 1 • Skyler Lindsey • This work out is for a senior physical education class

  2. What is it ? • Shaun T’s Insanity is a 60 day total body conditioning program • Comes with 10- disc to help tone your body • Plyometric drills on top of nonstop intervals of strength, power, resistance, abs and core training moves. • No equipment or weights needed.

  3. Each disc is a different length but it is easy to alter each workout to fit our schools schedule. It is originally done in 60 days but again we can do it at our own pace. • We could do 3 days a week for 4 months or 2 days a week through out the school year. • We would still have time to teach our other units just add this in a few times a week.

  4. Why get it? • Insanity is a great way to get the students into shape • Students are always looking for a way to compete with one another. This workout will have to students competing to get in the best shape • The reason I would chose seniors to do this workout and not the whole high school is because the seniors have already done all the activities in the past 3 years. They are bored with physical education class by the time they get to their senior year. This is a fun and different activity to help them get in shape to go off to college next year.

  5. What does it work on? • Disc 1- Dig Deeper & Fit Test • Disc 2- Plyometric Cardio Circuit • Disc 3- Cardio Power Resistance • Disc 4- Cardio Recovery • Disc 5- Pure Cardio & Cardio abs • Disc 6- Core Cardio & Balance • Disc 7- Max interval Circuit & Fit test • Disc 8- Max interval Plyo • Disc 9- Max Cardio Conditioning & Cardio Abs • Disc 10- Max recovery

  6. Equipment needed • The best thing about Insanity is there is no equipment necessary. The routines require repetitions through the use of your body weight. • All you need is your workout attire, sneakers and a water fountain near by.

  7. Technology needed? • 10 disc insanity program • Television • DVD player • Speakers if possible to it can be heard through out the gymnasium

  8. Special needs students • I would modify certain moves so everyone could participate no matter what their capabilities are. • I would go through the whole program and change whatever needed to be changed. • I would make posters and hang them around the gym demonstrating the modified moves.

  9. Bonus • Along with the 10 disc Insanity also includes: • Elite nutrition plan that I would send home to all the parents. They could help their children eat right while they were doing insanity program. • A Fitness guide which is short and to the point. Shaun T doesn’t want to confuse you with all these intense directions. The disc are very easy to follow along with. • Work out calendar that we could hang in the gymnasium so the students could track their progress.

  10. What’s the cost? • You can have insanity for just 3 low payments of $34.95 (+24.95 s&h) • In the end your only paying $195.00 • Insanity is well worth it.
