Based on the discussions on 4 and 5 Dez. in Vienna the follow-up activities have been discussed and agreed up-on between AT and French NCPs and representatives of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. These follow-up activities are summarised at the next pages according to the respective programme lines in FP7. The NCPs in charge of these programme lines are responsible for the implementation. Please keep the NCP Coordinators in AT and FR informed. They will provide the necessary coordination: In FR: Paul Jamet: paul.jamet@jouy.inra.fr In AT: Sabine Herlitschka: sabine.herlitschka@ffg.at Next Steps

  3. Ideas for cooperation FR & AT.. Environment: Environment NCP project and “Interlink” project: brokerage event incl. African countries Exchange of best practice: competence catalogues in AT and FR: biodiversity & climate change. Bringing teams/consortia together through bilateral contacts between NCPs, eg exchange information, looking for partners, bringing suitable partners together and contribute to generating better consortia. Energy: NCP project: FR: SME survey, AT brokerage responsibility: partners from survey to be considered in defining brokerage event details Both sides identify specific fields for cooperation, prepare joint WS (May/June 2009, ev. in FR?) with relevance to FP7 and/or ERA-Net, coordinated with 2010 Workprogramme AT-FR NCP exchange on coordinators and bringing in appropriate partners from other country for currently open call.

Nano: Seminar in Grenoble in Jan. 2010 on nanotechnologies, details to be defined, might be opened to CH and DE partners. 2011: seminar/brokerage in Austria in field of production Exchange of partner searches for currently open call Ideas: Continue to better know each other, eg via staff exchange, ideas on how to boost cooperation will be developed by email, WTZ can be used in complementarity. NCP meetings can be used as opportunities to meet in the course of premeetings. Salon de recherche: exchange of ideas on how to use it

  5. Ideas.. ICT Ideal-IST: 2 WPs: 1. NCP training: open for innovative ideas, eg staff exchange, or learning from FFG Academy approaches (eg newcomers). 2. Events: Brokerage in Prague until June 2009 ICT competence catalogue in AT to be promoted in FR regional clusters and related networks and ICT national technical group. ICT profiles also on www. Something similar like ICT profiles under discussion to be prepared in FR. Salon de Recherche: to be used? Joint brokerage for 6th call to take place in Dec.2009/Jan 2010: AT, FR, CH, DE: major event with new formate and creative features…

  6. Ideas.. Transport ETNA Research Project: Network of European and other NCPs: use the project to organise meeting upon initiative of FR and/or AT, topic of meeting to be defined based on results of questionnaires, ETPs development, etc, to be developed by email and in exchange with other partners. Goal: build network on information and exchange on a systematic and regular basis Relevant researchers/institutions know each others: inform partners of both countries of competencies in other country and exchange info on activities, eg projects and finances in some institutions that allow for exchange of young researchers. Eg Young researchers seminar: encourage participation of young researchers of both countries. Identify main transport research interest in both countries, on these specific topics being more active with partner searchers, exchange of info on activities. Exchange of info on consortia preparing consortia in order to include partners from other country Exchange info on events in both NCP interests, newsletter, activity reports of research organisations, for Programme Committee: exchange info on interests and challenges, stimulate discussion also incl. EC

  7. Ideas.. KBBE Cooperation in NCP project: training, staff exchange foreseen. AT-FR Science Day on Organic Farming in Austria in 2009 to be combined with international component and FFG Academy approaches Research fields of joint interest: forestry and wood research (eg in 2010), industrial biotech, food toxicology, food safety: potentially suited for future science days Increase efforts to bringing together consortia by exchanging FR, AT interests in core topics of WP call topics: at 2 levels: as soon as draft is available, also earlier when WP calls are specified to lobby for topics of joint interest. Promote events in AT and FR, publishing it on respective www. FR involved in coordination action on food & health: ev. AT as affiliated partner

  8. Ideas.. Health Identify fields of joint interests in early stage of WP Seek to spread info from important meeting where NCPs participated. Health NCP project and SME for Health project to be used. Exchanging info on existing bilateral projects, eg. INSERM in FR IMI: exchange on currently “burning” issues eg IPR, etc NCP Coordination: Research Exhibition in Paris 3-5 June: cooperation could be useful if clear about target group and objectives. 1 Day: Topic could be SMEs, disc. With Michel Ganoote: Research for SMEs and SMEs in thematic programmes. Topic could also be IPRs. Could be combined with other thematic WS. Prague 7-8 May: NCP Coordinators Meeting could take place on 6 May in course of NCP corner and could be combined with invitation to NCP Coordinators INCO-EECA. EIT: thematic NCPs to have a look at where KICs are formed and exchange info. AT inform FR if Stakeholder WS will take place in Vienna.
