  1. What is a task? A task is an assignment for somebody to do.

  2. In a common sense task should have the following attributes: people: the undertaker (the doer), the supervisor, and probably a carbon copy list thing: subject, detailed description time: starting date, expected completion date, actual completion date

  3. A Noubli task also has: • Remind undertaker date:several days before the expected completion date. If the task is not done on the remind date, the system will automatically notify the undertaker that the due date is soon coming.

  4. A Noubli task also has: Work progress:will be filled by the undertaker, so that the supervisor will be aware of the progress, whether it is: not yet started, doing, waiting for people or things, almost done, done, or no solution. (after the undertaker filled “done” on the progress, the system will send a letter to the supervisor asking him to check and “close the case”.

  5. A Noubli task also has: status: • Not yet submitted, • Submitted(but the undertaker has not yet done anything with it) • Has response(the undertaker has filled some progress), • Done but waiting closure(undertaker said it is done, but needs the supervisor to acknowledge it), • Case closed(supervisor has acknowledged • Unsolvable

  6. A Noubli task also has: Some not required but maybe useful attributes: • Expected man-hour • Actual man-hour • Current progress% • Priority: low, normal, important, urgent • Category: one's job, auxiliary work, other duties

  7. Expected completion date • When this date arrives, there are two possibilities: • Case already closed (ack’d by supervisor) --- system will not do anything. • Case is still open (no matter the progress is “done” or not) --- system will notify the supervisor asking him to check on the task.

  8. Remind undertaker date When this date arrives and if the status is “case closed” or the progress is “done”, then system will not do anything. Otherwise, system will notify the undertaker, warning him that the task is due soon. (this date can be changed by the undertaker anytime to fit his needs)

  9. Other useful goodies If the task case is not closed: 1. Before the due date, when displaying the task, the system will also show: “task starts from 12/15 to today, so far experiencing 12 days; there are 3 days till expected completion date.” (Or, if due tomorrow) “task starts from 12/15 to today, so far experiencing 14 days; task will be due tomorrow!” 2. On or past due date, it will be shown in red: Task already past due!or task is due today!

  10. Other useful goodies If the case is closed, when displaying again, system will also show: “task from start to completion, altogether experienced days=12 days” Also according to the difference between actual and expected completion dates: “Finished on time” “Was ahead 3 days in completion” “Was behind 2 days to completion”

  11. Other useful goodies Upon closing the case, the supervisor can also write his ranking and comment on this task: Ranking of the job: very satisfied, satisfied, no opinion, not very satisfied, very unsatisfied Supervisor’s comment: (text) ranking privacy: hide(private to the supervisor),open to undertaker, open to all participants

  12. Other useful goodies Trail of views and processing After the task is submitted, any actions (view, respond, etc) by any participant will leave a trail (who did what on when). Any participant can view this trail anytime. (the supervisor can delete this trail after the case is closed.)

  13. The end Please go to the Noubli home page and register a new account and start enjoying “never forget anything in the future!” http://www.noubli.com Thank you for viewing!
