Presentation Transcript

  1. Application • This presentation teaches students about chick incubation. If teaching this class, this presentation would be given before an actual chick incubation lab was performed in the actual classroom. • This type of project helps develop skills such as organizing, teamwork, observing, comparing, and other scientific skills.

  2. Target Audience • High School (10-12 ) • The student needs to have taken at least one year of high school biology. • The students are not gifted. • This presentation cannot be too scientific and “over the head” of a sophomore in high school with only one year of basic biology.

  3. Learning Environment • The learner will be using this project in a high school agriculture class to learn about the embryo formation of a chick before an incubation of chick eggs takes place in lab. • Used in a computer lab at school. • This will benefit the student because it will provide a way for the student to learn about the scientific side of chick embryology before hatching their own eggs. • This will also allow the student to learn about what is happening each day while incubation is occurring.

  4. Learning Objective • By using this presentation the student should then be able to successfully pass the final quiz and perform a chick incubation lab in class.
