SSATP Second Development Plan (DP2) 2008-2011 • DP2 was launched at the SSATP Annual Meeting 2007 in Ouagadougou. • The SSATP Strategic Framework 2008-2011 provides a logical framework for SSATP activities identifying specific activities and indicators of progress. • SSATP activities are now structured within the three Themes defined by DP2, and each activity needs to fit into the Strategic Framework. Funding • SSATP DP2 is currently financed by the European Commission (main donor), African Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, and bi-lateral contributions from UK, Norway, Sweden and Austria. • Delays in mobilizing funding resulted in a slow start to DP2 activities, and no Annual Meeting in 2008. • Approximately 65% of the funding envisaged for DP2 is currently pledged by the SSATP Financing Partners, and funding is now available for 2010 activities.
