  4. Objectives • Content Objective: • We will be able to understand what synonyms are and how we can use synonyms to find juicier words for our personal narratives. • Language Objective: • We will be able to use synonyms from the hand-out to enhance the word choice in our writing.

  5. Mini-Lesson on SYNONYMs • Check out the handout with adjectives and juicy words • Compare it to the ten words you found to describe your story • Try to replace those ten words you have with a JUICIER word

  6. Self-Evaluation • Using this self-evaluation, I want you to give yourself a score of: • Check PLUS • Check • Check MINUS • The questions on this checklist DIRECTLY relate to the RUBRIC. Be honest, because MS. B will be grading you after, as well.

  7. Drafting • Today you will continue to DRAFT. When you think you are finished, do your self-evaluation and conference with Ms. B or Ms. Rooks

  8. DEAR • Make sure your reading log is UP-TO-DATE before you begin reading today.
