  2. Library Hours Hours: 7:45 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; M, T, Th, and F Wed.: Early release- 7:45 a.m.-2:15 p.m. (no after school) LMC circulation is closed everyday from 12:30 – 1:00. ( no check outs, drop-in’s, individual computer use)

  3. Library Passes You need a pass to come to the library: • Before school (Go to the Attendance Window) • During class time (ask your teacher) • During lunch • Come to the library before your lunch for a pass • Only 5 students allowed from each lunch so it’s first come, first served *Sign in at the circulation desk whenever you come in on your own

  4. Check out policies • You may have 5 items checked out • Books (print & audio) are checked out for 3 weeks • Magazines are checked out for 1 week • Textbooks are checked out for 1 day • You can renew an item once. • You MUST have your own ID to check out. No exceptions!!

  6. Overdue Notices • A note will be sent to your class about your overdue item (s). • Please come to the library to talk with us about renewing the book OR bring the book with you to turn it in. • Please respond to us (even if you know you have already turned the item in).

  7. Computers: • Academic use only. • You may not email or IM your friends, or play games on the computers. • You must have a signed Internet Use Agreement on file at this school. • Please get permission to print. • Remember! Using the computers at RTMS is a privilege, not a right. Any misuse of the computers will result in suspension of this privilege.

  8. Library Policies General rules: • No food, drink, gum or candy is allowed in the library. • Be respectful of others who are working. • Use quiet voices.

  9. LMC Webpage Library Homepage • Go to Rocky Top’s homepage, click on “Library” • Databases: iBistro, EBSCO, Worldbook online, and Culturegrams. • Contains many useful links to help you find information • Contains link to LMC catalog of books

  10. Rocky Top Book Club • Teams of 4—you choose your teammates. • There are 16 books on the list. • Attend weekly meetings during lunch. • Compete against other students and TEACHERS! • More information coming soon! • See Mrs. McVey or Mrs. Rhoads in the LMC if you are interested.
