  6. Proportional Reasoning If a person is 6 feet tall and casts a shadow that is 8 feet long, then how tall is a tree that casts a 121 foot long shadow?

  7. Problem 1 Vanessa and Carol are running around a track at the same speed. Carol starts when Vanessa has already finished 3 laps. After Vanessa has finished 12 laps, how far has Carol run? Make sure you JUSTIFY your reasoning

  13. Using Mathematical Definitions Mathematical definitions are used differently than everyday language definitions. Two types of definitions: • Stipulated Definitions (Math) • Everyday language (non-math)

  14. Problem A rectangle is a quadrilateral that has 4 right angles. A square is a quadrilateral that has 4 right angles and 4 congruent sides. Q: Is a rectangle a square or is a square a rectangle?
