a. Request syllabi, course sequence, and teacher qualifications for each course online and traditional. For Ph.D. , request for committee members and their qualifications as well.

b. Request for access to online instruction demonstration.

c. Request for qualifications and background on curriculum developer for both direct and online instruction.

The Compliance Unit analysts identify the issues related to Minimum Operating Standards of the Educational Programs, the Educational Specialists evaluate and analyze the quality of education. The quality of education depends on the faculty who received their degree from an accredited schools, curriculum written to achieve the educational objectives, instructional method that is appropriate for the subject matter and required subject areas and standards for a particular degree.

  • The Education Specialist’s role is more focused and narrow when assisting the Investigations Unit. However; the Education Specialist must connect all the dots to capture a complete picture of the educational program.

    • Same approach as the application process will be utilized to review and examine the following: Mission, Educational Programs, Instruction, Faculty, Administration, Library, Admissions Standards and Minimum Undergraduate and Graduate Requirements.

    • Ask detail questions about the overall Educational Programs

    • Verify and examine the authenticity of all documents (not just what triggered the investigation)

  • Interview: Administrative Staff, Owner(s), Board Members, Faculty, Students

  • Prepare questionnaire about the issue that triggered the investigation (Admin. Staff/owner).

  • Prepare questionnaire for faculty after reviewing their background, course syllabi, lesson plans, tests, quizzes, assignments, projects and etc.

  • Ask students to walk you through their educational programs from the start to present.
