  1. These Signs Are Telling that Your Water Heater Is About To Fail

  2. We all come across to a point of time when we have to decide whether to replace or to repair the water heater at our home. The decision is crucial as it requires a lot of other things other than just replacements. But, if you look at it closely, you may be able to eliminate the task of replacing the water heater tank by closely looking at it whether it is going to fail. Most of the times, most people don’t even have the idea that their water heater is going to fail. And honestly, hot water tank replacement in Vancouver is not an easy task. This is why; you need to look at the following signs to see if your water heater is going to fail –

  3. 1.    Pay attention to how old is your water tank – It is important for you to know how old is your heater and the water tank. Find the age by looking for the serial number on the manufacturer’s sticker on the upper portion of the water heater. However, in general terms, if your water heater is older than 10 years, then it should be replaced; if not, then you can put it up for repairing.

  4. 2.    When you see rusty water – Well, you may have already experienced it. If your water heater is providing you rusty water, then this might mean that there is going to be leak pretty soon as the water heater is probably rusting away. But if you have galvanized piping, you may have rusty pipes. A good way is to avoid replacing a functioning water heater is to drain a few five-gallon buckets of hot water out of the water heater. By the third bucket, if the water from your heater is still coming out rusty, then most likely the water heater and not the piping is at fault.

  5. 3.    When there is rumbling and noise – If your water heater starts making noises, this might be a sign your water heater is going to fail and you may have to replace it. If your water heater is old, then it might buildup sediment at the bottom of the tank. And due to the heat it will become hard day by day. Hard sediment on your water heater means less efficiency, and more damage in the heater. And then again, if there are water around your water heater, there might be a small leak or a fracture in the tank.
