Times Square • Times Square is a major commercial intersection in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue and stretching from West 42nd to West 47th Streets. • Times Square – famous as "The Crossroads of the World“and the "The Great White Way" – is the brightly illuminated hub of the Broadway theatre district,one of the world's busiest pedestrian intersections,and a major centre of the world's entertainment industry.According to Travel + Leisure magazine's October 2011 survey, Times Square is the world's most visited tourist attraction, bringing in over 39 million visitors annually.

  6. One of the most iconic attractions in New York is the Statue of Liberty. • A visit to New York without taking the ferry to liberty island would be a miss. • The Statue of Liberty was given to New York as a gift from the people of France and it represents freedom to all.

  7. Brooklyn Bridge • The Brooklyn Bridge is a bridge in New York City and is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Completed in 1883. • It connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn by spanning the East River.

  8. 9/11 Memorial • A must see when you visit New York would be the 9/11 Memorial. • At the 9/11 Memorial you can expect to see the names of the nearly 3,000  victims of the September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993 terrorist attacks, inscribed on bronze panels lining the two pools. • Waterfalls will flow down all four sides of each pool, creating a special place for remembrance and reflection. • The surrounding area will be filled with oak trees and a callery pear known as the Survivor Tree, which was nursed back to health after surviving the 9/11 attacks.

Broadway, is a theatrical performance presented in one of the 40 theatres with 500 or more seats located in the Theatre District centeredalong Broadway.Along with London's West End theatre, Broadway theatre is known as the most important theatre area in the world.Show’s such as lion king, Mamma Mia, Phantom of the Opera and Annie are long running shows which would be highly recommended to see while in New York City.

Best Restaurant in NYC According to the 2012 New York City Restaurants guide, the Big Apple's best decor can be found at Asiate, the restaurant located in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel at Columbus Circle. The eatery scored a 28 in the Decor category, beating out other high-end eateries like Daniel and Per-se- surely those views of Central Park helped push this place over the top.

New York has a lot of wonderful restaurants to choose from such as French, Italian, Chinese etc. very much like every city in the world but to a greater degree in New York. • However living in New York is a very fast lifestyle and there are many fast food outlets that compliment that lifestyle, unfortunately many New Yorkers rely too much on fast food outlets and in that context obesity is a problem in New York as it is indeed in America.
