  1. DESCRIPTION The antenna consists of Antenna AS-3166/GRC, Mast AB-1244?GRC, and Cable Assembly Radio Frequency CG-1889B/U (80 ft); all parts are stowed in a transit bag. The feedcone assy. Mounts the six antenna elements and the balun assembly and provides for mechanical connec- tion to the mast by use of an insulating extension. The balun assembly is connected to the radio set by Cable Assembly, Radio frequency CG-1889B/U. Mast AB-1244/GRC is used to elevate the antenna above ground and is held in a vertical position by eight guy ropes. The equipment is designed for hand or vehicular transportation. When disassembled, it is packed in a nylon fabric roll bag 42 inches long and 39 inches in circumference.
