  3. Military service • was in the Navy • tried to go into the Army but could not because of his hurt back • Submarine was rammed and sunk by a Japanese destroyer. Kennedy rushed all of the survivors ashore a island

  4. Family Life • 2nd of 9 children • Religion, sports, and competition big part • Very wealthy • Lived in London

  5. Career • Was president for 3 years • Spent 8 years in congress • Ran for president in 1960 and won

  6. Assassination • Was assassinated in Dallas, Texas by Lee Harvey Oswald November 22, 1963 • Killed by a bullet
