  1. KEYBOARD

  2. Structure • Is standard input device Arrangement of keys IC Integrated Circuit

  3. Operators • Each button on the keyboard corresponding to a switch connected between a row of A and a column of B, so each key has a row and column addresses only. • When done press any key, this key will create 11-bit binary code sent to the operating system then it will change to the ASCII code and display on the screen

  4. Operators Compiler ASCII code Character Bit Binary

  5. Keyboard types • XT keyboard with 83 key.

  6. Keyboard types • AT keyboard with 84 key.

  7. Keyboard types • ATX keyboard with 101 -> 104 key. To connector PS2 port.

  8. Keyboard types • And other types...

  9. Connectors • DIN connector have 5 pin. Common used to mainboards support AT connector.

  10. Mini DIN 6 pin, used more popular with PS/2 connector. • USB connector. • Infrad keyboard. None None

  11. MOUSE

  12. Mouse is a pointing device that functions by detecting two-dimensional motion relative to its supporting surface • It sometimes features other elements, such as "wheels", which allow the user to perform various system-dependent operations • Types: • Wheels mouse. • Optical mouse.

  13. Wheels mouse

  14. Operations • Inside the mouse ball with a rubber ball with plastic spleen in two axes placed at right angles to each other, while moving the mouse, the ball rotation => make the rotation axis, two axes are attached to plastic gears plastic perforated, each gear is placed between a emitting diodes and a optical sensor.

  15. Optical Mouse • Structure Emitting diodes

  16. Nguyên tắc hoạt động • Emitting diodes create a red light shone onto the surface of the mouse pad, image of the surface panels are lens focused onto optical sensors, optical sensors will analyze the shift of this image => create electrical signals sent to the computer. • Emitting diodes have 2 level • Low level: Diode provided electric around 0.3V after about 3 seconds time in sleep mode. • High level: Diode provided electric around 2.2V in active mode.
