  11. Are youready to start teachingwith TPR?

  12. YES!!!

  13. Team Teaching • You will be paired with another co-teacher • I will give you and your co-teacher a lexical set with 12 vocabulary words • You will prepare a 5-7 minute TPR lesson plan together

  14. Preparation • You have 15minutes to prepare • The lesson should be 5 minutes long • Use all 9 vocabulary words • Use TPR as your teaching method • Learn commands by heart • Your classmates will be your students

  15. Directions: • Use your dictionary for any words you do not understand • Order the commands and write them down • Create an action to go with each command • Decide each teacher’s part • Practice your lesson at least twice (two times)! SAY ALOUD and DOall the commands with your teacher as if you are teaching!! Do NOT simply read your lesson plan silently!!! • Memorize the script as much as possible

  16. Teaching: • You will be divided into small groups • In your small group decide on a time keeper. The time keeper must time each lesson. The time keeper should tell the teachers when they have one minute left (6 minutes) and then tell them to stop at 7 minutes. This is important so that everyone has a chance to practice teaching. • As peer teachers, you must please show respectfor all your peers. This means to listen and follow as you would like to be listened to and followed. • BEGIN TEACHING and HAVE FUN!!!
