Content of H.O.P.E.™ Academy at SSE PhD • Content • Job search process – the Moment of Truth • Format • 4h colloquium • Purpose • Overview of how to successfully manage a career • Dos and don'ts of presentation materials • Identification of potential employers • Guide to networking and how to manage headhunters • How to prepare for and behave during an interview • H.O.P.E.™ –Profile/Matrix • 1,5h – individual meeting • Survey the overall situation of the individual • Feedback on participants presentation material • Create H.O.P.E.™ - Matrix describing an optimal future work/life situation including an action plan/immediate next steps • Identify initial thoughts around potential future employers • H.O.P.E.™ – Case/Headhunter • 1h – individual meeting • Create a winning presentation of participants and their experiences, strengths and challenges • Increase presentation skills through “real life” practicing of interviews, e.g. case-methodology

Job search process – the Moment of truthColloquium • Topic • Overview of how to successfully manage a career • Dos and don'ts of presentation materials • Identification of potential employers • Guide to networking and how to manage headhunters • How to prepare for and behave during an interview • Purpose • Successful behaviors of people who have continually increased their human capital • Creation of a great CV and Cover Letter • Selection criteria and information gathering strategies • How to leverage your contacts and use external constituencies • What candidates need to do before an interview and how to conduct oneself professionally during the session

H.O.P.E.™ – Profile/MatrixIndividual Session • Topic • Survey the overall situation of the individual • Feedback on participants presentation material • Create a H.O.P.E.™- Matrix describing an optimal future work/life situation including an action plan/immediate next steps • Identify initial thoughts around potential future employers • Purpose • Success in change efforts require an assessment of the present situation • Oral and written feedback on participant’s presentation material • Creation of a career vision with measurable criteria and an H.O.P.E.™ - Action, a plan with clear action steps how to get there • Based on the H.O.P.E.™ - Matrix, define a “shortlist” of potential future employers matching the identified criteria

H.O.P.E.™ – Case/HeadhunterIndividual Session • Topic • Create a winning oral presentation of participants and their experiences, strengths and growth • Increase presentation skills through “real life” practicing of interview, e.g. case-methodology • Purpose • Many participants are highly skilled in gathering information, but not necessarily “selling” themselves in the best possible way • Practice makes perfect and case interviews follow a steep learning curve • Other dimensions tested in the “mock” interview are leadership, energy and social aptitude

H.O.P.E.™ AcademyMaterial & Facilities • Colloquium take place atSSE’s facilities (room C 512 at Holländargatan 32) • Individual meetings take place at Encourage facilities – Norrlandsgatan 7, 3 fl • Individual sessions are booked at the colloquium • Material for the individual coaching sessions is provided by Encourage

  9. Mats Eklund CEO & Change Agent Experience During 1996-1999 Mats worked at McKinsey & Company as management consultant focusing on change. During 2000-2002 he held a number of HR positions such as Recruiting and Integrations Manager and responsible for Learning in Scandinavia. Mats was also Manager of Professional Development for 120 Swedish consultants. During 2003-2004 Mats worked at Alumni AB as headhunter and consultant with primary focus on career coaching. Mats hold a M.Sc in Business and Administration from Stockholm School of Economics and a M.Sc in Forestry from the Swedish Forest Academy. He has also studied Psychology at Stockholm University and is certified in MBTI, 16PF, HDS, BasIQ, Ravens, IDI & Firo-B.
