Immediacy and Hypermediacy • Immediacy is a "style of visual representation whose goal is to make the viewer forget the presence of the medium (canvas, photographic film, cinema, and so on) and believe that he is in the presence of the objects of representation" (Bolter and Grusin 272-73). --Referring to “immersion.” • Hypermediacy is a "style of visual representation whose goal is to remind the viewer of the medium" (Bolter and Grusin 272). --Referring to “engagement.”--Referring to “metafictionality,”“metamediacy.” • 一,超媒體性指文本的意義生產過中,其所依附的媒體始終『如影隨形』顯示自身的存在。WWW環境中的超連結操作或數位遊戲中的通關密碼輸入,不斷提醒使用者文本載體的存在,這種媒體可說具有超媒體性(這個說法比較接近metamediacy)。二,另外,網頁吸納繪畫、電視、電影等媒體特色,這樣的多『媒體』現象,經過媒體融合的處理,一方面以『一種媒體來再現另一種媒體』(“representation of one medium in another”),另一方面這些『舊』媒體存在於『新』媒體的現象,也呈現出超媒體性(this one is closer to Bolter’s concept)。
