  3. What is Ethnicity? • Ethnicity is defined as an ethnic quality or affiliation resulting from racial or cultural ties. • Associated with or belonging to a particular race or group of people who have a culture that is different from the main culture of a country

  4. Ethnicity vs. Race Race refers to a persons physical appearance such as skin color, eye color, e.t.c Ethnicity on the other hand relates to cultural factors like nationality, ancestry, language, e.t.c

  7. Effects of Racism • The effects of racism include: hatred, cruelty, low self esteem, fear, psychological pain and destruction of community cohesion. Racism is the discrimination or hatred directed against someone of a different race based on such a belief. It is illegal to practice racism anywhere around the world.
