  • User ID: the initials of your first and last names in upper case according to the Human Resources Department and your 4 digit employee number (Example: JD1234)

  • Password: First time users –Same as above

  • View by Alpha – shows courses by name

  • View by Month – shows courses by date

  • View by Interest – shows courses by interest

  • Contact Us – sends email message to Mickie Cox in Staff Development

  • To view any of the sections just click on the shortcut

    • View transcript – shows all staff development you have received credit for

    • Change Password – you may change it up to 20 characters and/or letters and numbers

    • Change Personal Information – fill in blanks. Email is very important for registration

    • Unregister from Classes

    • News - Get IISD Staff Development News

  • You may view courses you have taken

  • You may view courses you have registered for

  • You may unregister by clicking on the course

  • You may view total credit given for courses that you have registered for and taken

  • You may submit an out of district workshop for Professional Staff Development credit.

    • If you want Exchange and/or TBA Credit you will need to

      • Submit an Out of District Workshop form for Division Director approval (Unless it is a pre-approved course that has been submitted by a coordinator)

      • Submit an Out of District workshop request form to staff development with your principals signature. These forms are found on the Staff Development Website.

Staff Development Credit

  • Professional Development Hours – this is training that you have had during a workday and some after school workshops

  • Campus Staff Development Day – These are the staff development days of Aug. 20 or 23 and Oct. 11

  • TBA Day Hours – These are hours that were approved by a Division Director for TBA credit

  • Exchange Day Hours – These are hours that were approved by a Division Director and your Principal for Nov. 22 and 23 exchange day credit

  • TBA or Exchange Day Hours – These are hours that were approved for both

Credits/Hours/Grade

  • Credits – Hours approved for Staff Development Credit

  • Hours – Actual time you were credited in training. (Example: You went to an Out of District Workshop that lasted 3 days, but it was approved for only one TBA or Exchange day.)

    • 6 credits equal one day.

  • Grade

    • Blank – No specified department

    • GT – Qualifies toward GT clock hours

    • Special Education – Training sponsored by the Special Education Department

    • Others may be added

  • Put in new password that is easy for you to remember (Up to 20 Characters, numbers and letters)

  • Put in new password again

  • Submit Password

Change Personal Information

  • DO NOT change name. This is donethrough the Human Resources department. If you see an error please contact that department.

  • Enter Email address. This is extremely important for getting confirmations, reminders, messages when a class is cancelled, etc.

  • Change District to Irving ISD

  • Enter Building or Department using drop-down menu

  • Position: usually entered by Human Resources. Paraprofessionals are listed by pay grade

  • Assignment : If you do not see one that fits your assignment please have your ITS contact Staff Development to have it added as a choice or send an email to [email protected]

  • UPDATE. If you do not update the information you have just entered will be lost.


Unregistering for sessions
Unregistering for Sessions

  • Click on unregister from classes

  • Just click on the session that you wish to unregister from and you will be prompted to make sure that is what you want to do

  • Please unregister if you cannot attend.

  • If you register and miss 2 classes without unregistering then your registering privileges will be suspended. If this happens you must contact Staff Development to be considered for future registration.


How to register for course
How to Register for Course

  • Find your course by Category (choose category from drop-down menu and push go), Alpha, Month or Interest

  • Click on the title of course you are interested in

  • Those classes that start with the name of a campus are campus workshops and only members of that campus should register for those courses.


Choosing the session

  • Click on the time of the session you would like to attend and then click on register

  • All the information about the session will be displayed including time, date, location address and a link to an internet map, contact information, instructor

  • Special instructions regarding the class will also be listed here

  • Check information and make any necessary changes

  • Click on the “Submit Registration” button at the bottom of the page.

  • In most cases you will receive:

    • A screen message saying you have successfully registered along with Course Session Information

    • An email giving you the title of the course, location and date

    • A reminder email 2 days before the course

      ** Email messages are generated automatically using the system administrator’s email address
