  1. What is SQL Server ?  The Microsoft relational database management system is a software product when primarily stores and retrieves data requested by other applications. These applications may run on the same or a different computer.  SQL is a special-purpose programming language designed to handle data in a relational database management system. A database server is a computer program that provides database services to other programs or computer, as defined by the client- sever model. Therefore, a SQL Server is a database sever that implements the Structured Query Language (SQL).

  2. What is SQL and how does it work ?  In database system, SQL statements are used to generate queries from a client program to the database. This can allow the users to execute a wide range of fast data manipulation. So to basically put it, SQL is the main language that allows your database servers to store and edit the data on it.

  3. What is difference between SQL and SQL Server ?  The main difference between SQL and MS SQL is that SQL is a query language that is used in relation database whereas MS SQL Server is itself a relational database management system (RDBMS) developed by Microsoft.

What are the basic SQL Commands ?  SELECT- extracts data from a database  UPDATE- updates data in a database  DELETE- deletes data from a database  INSERT INTO- inserts new data into a database  CREATE DATABASE- creates a new database  ALTER DATABASE- modifies a database  CREATE TABLE- creates a new table
