SBPR is a Brazilian scientific organization of professionals working in radiation safety. They have around 300 members from various scientific and technical fields related to radiation protection. They are affiliated with IRPA, FRALC, and GRIAPRA.

Who is the SBPR? • SBPR was formed in 1986 • It is a Brazilian scientific organization of professionals who develop activities in radiation safety. • Number of members- near 300 members from all scientific and technical areas related to radiation protection applied on medicine, industry , environmental and research

  3. Filiation SBPR is associate to: • IRPA - InternationalRadiation Protection Association • FRALC - Radiation Protection Federation of Latin America and Caribbean. • And is member of the Iberian and Latin American Group of Radiation Protection Societies- GRIAPRA

Filiation IRPA - International Radiation Protection Association IRPA is an association of 17,000 individuals joining through 48 national societies in 60 countries worlwide.If you are a member of an Associate Society, you are a member of IRPA. Of special interest is one figure, presented by UNSCEAR and taken from an ICRP presentation. This figures shows the four pillars of the global organisation of radiation protection: UNSCEAR, ICRP, IAEA, IRPA

Meetings 2005 – RADIO 2005 • IV International Congress on Radiation Protection in Industry and • Ist Brazilian Congress on Radiation Protection These events were developed in cooperation with the ABENDE- Brazilian Association on non-destructive testing 2009 – • I Congress of Protection Against Radiations of the Countries of Portuguese Language, jointly with the Portuguese Society of Protection Against the Radiations. Lisbon, Portugal • Organized several national courses in the area of Radiation protection in Radiology, Radiation protection in industry
