Key Findings • 48.6% (N=279) of MSWs have been tested for HIV at least once within the past year, and 30.5% (N=175) have never been tested. • MSWs who did not use condoms with their most recent paying sex partners were significantly less likely to have been tested (AOR=0.30). • MSWs between the ages of 21 and 29 were more significantly likely to have been tested (AOR=6.50) than MSWs between the ages of 18 and 20.

Important Implications • While one might expect high HIV testing rate among MSWs due to the nature of their profession, we found that HIV testing uptake is suboptimal among MSWs in Asia. • This analysis illustrates the need for reliable HIV prevention/testing promotion and the dissemination of sexual health and HIV/STI information among MSWs. • As MSWs are even more hard-to-reach, peer-driven and network-based strategies may be most effective in delivering HIV testing services to this population.
