What is herbaceous vegetation ? • Definition of Herbaceous plant. • A plant lacking a permanent woody stem; many are flowering garden plants or potherbs; some having medicinal properties; some are pests. • The term 'herbaceous vegetation ' as it applies to the area of forestry can be defined as ‘ woody plants, including wildflowers and ferns, in a forest understory’.

Sampling design choice:- • There are several acknowledged methods of selecting the sampling designs. • Objective of research. • Time frame of the work. • Financial budgets and cost effective. • Qualitative / quantitative task. • User friendly/ easy to use or not. • Using of GIS maps and GPS for site.
