    • Requires planning and forethought of configuration management issues

  • Recommend devoting more class time to hands-on work with modeling tool

    • For a modeling class, tests prove nothing more than proficiency with test-taking

    • First half of class allotted to presenting information

    • Remainder of class allotted to working with modeling tool

    • Focus on team progress to avoid disparities in project quality

    • Also focus on team dynamics to avoid unproductive team members

  • Expect more from students

    • Provide reading assignments so students are prepared to learn specific modeling

    • Post-class assignment (that is, team project) could implement skills learned in class

    • Provides time for “storming and norming” that is natural process of team building

    • Ensures teams are functioning and producing before midterm

  • May want to have interim status reports from teams to assess progress
