  2. Setting • The setting takes place from Euclid, Ohio to Lewiston Idaho, Salamanca describes her home in Ohio a birdhouse because the houses were jammed together.

  3. Characters • Salamanca- long black hair(adventurous) • Dad- ( calm) • Mom- long black hair( doubtful) • Phoebe- blond hair , blue eyes(imaginative) • Grandma Hiddle-(forgetful) • Grandpa Hiddle –( confused)

  4. Conflict • Salamanca’s mom left her dad , and moved to Idaho. Salamanca and her dad moved to Euclid, Ohio.

  5. Resolution • Salamanca and her grandma, and grandpa go to Lewiston, Idaho to get Salamanca's mom to move back with her dad

  6. Opinion • When I finished reading the book I thought that it was a good book because it was a book of adventure, and excitement.

  7. About the author • Sharon Creech used to live in England • Written at least 17 books • Teacher in high school english • Is author of Newberry Medal winner “ Walk Two Moons”. • Use to write adult books

  9. Summary • Salamanca is a thirteen year old girl that sets out on a adventure to Idaho. Her mom leaves Salamanca and her dad in Bybanks, Kentucky because her mom doubts that she’ll ever fit in with the family. Gram and gramps go on the adventure also hoping to bring her mom back before the flowers bloom.
