Expectations • Will be enabled in conjunction with the Banner 8 Implementation scheduled for March 18, 2010 • Will only affect querying on Finance forms such as FGIBDST,FGIBDSR, FRIGITD, FRIGTRD in Banner, including Finance Self-Service operating ledger queries where org is a defined search parameter Financial Services Division

  3. Expectations (Continued) • Users will continue to have the capability to initiate transactions such as DPEZs, JVs, Purchase Requisitions across all orgs Financial Services Division

  4. Impact • Users will only have Finance query access to requested orgs • Org definitions for Budget Planners will cascade to Finance query access Financial Services Division

  5. Impact (Continued) • Fiscal Agents will need to determine orgs for non-Budget Planner users within their respective level 3 orgs • If additional orgs are needed for all users, users will need to request additional orgs through the Banner Authorization Request (BAR) Financial Services Division

  6. Why? • To lay a foundation for leveraging additional types and levels of security within the system, such as Fine-Grained Access, Tab Level security and Field Masking • To present Finance info that is relevant, meaningful, timely and appropriate to users Financial Services Division

  7. Phase II • Enable org security for Hyperion and ePrint reports • Enable additional types and security levels such as Fine-Grained Access, Tab level security and field masking Financial Services Division
