Stats • Over 4 billion videos are viewed a day • Over 800 million unique users visit YouTube each month • Over 3 billion hours of video are watched each month on YouTube • 70% of YouTube traffic comes from outside the US • YouTube is localized in 39 countries and across 54 languages • In 2011, YouTube had more than 1 trillion views or almost 140 views for every person on Earth

Content Types • Vacation rental tours (video or slideshow) • Area images/slideshow • Interviews with travelers • Traveler testimonials • Traveler FAQs, tips for traveler • History of the home, owner stories • Sample Videos: • Victor’s Villas – Slideshow with testimonials and Owner • Discovery Beach House - Owner rental tour, stories, testimonials, tips for travelers • Orlando Vacation Villa – slideshow with text and music • Windsor Home Rental – slideshow with labels and music Who has a video to share?

Tips & Guidelines • Photo slideshows • Ensure you use pictures with good lighting • Don’t use pictures where there is clutter shown • Showcase best features of the home/amenities • Show why travelers love your home • Create a variety of content • Equipment matters! • Videos • Should be short and informative • Create multiple videos if you have lots of information! • Try to keep videos at 90 seconds or less • If doing a walk through consider placing the camera on a tripod and panning to avoid shakiness • When uploading use YouTube’s stabilizing feature to smooth out shaky video clips

  5. Channel Features • Utilize & Optimize Videos • Choose titles, descriptions and keywords that are relevant to your area, home, amenities, travel, activities, etc that are in your video • Playlists • Categorize your content to help travelers • Use keywords in playlist titles
