Technology: Zeiss Monolithic Miniature Spectrometer, CCD 1044×64 pixels, fiber optics, quad detector, custom entrance optics, tracking motors, bearings, seals, flashdisks Measures: Continuous spectrum of solar direct-beam transmission and scattered light at wavelengths, l = 300-1017 nm Technical challenges: Tracking accuracy, autonomous sun finding, straylight supression, dynamic range, spectrometer temperature control window frost & dirt, pressure & weather seals.
