  4. Know the Signs Heart Attack Signs-Myocardial Infarction Chest discomfort Shortness of breath Upper body discomfort Nausea, indigestion, dizziness Unusual tiredness, anxiety Trouble sleeping

  5. Know the Signs High Blood Pressure Signs Usually no symptoms

  6. Stroke – CVA (Remember F.A.S.T.) F. – Face (look for an uneven smile) A. – Arm (check if one arm is weak) S. – Speech (listen for slurred speech) T. – Time (call 911 right away)

  7. Peripheral Arterial Disease – PAD Leg pain with walking Swelling

  8. Know Your Risk Assessment • RISK FACTORS Age Smoking History Medical History Family History • NUMBERS BMI Blood Cholesterol Blood Pressure Fasting Blood Sugar

  10. Medications BP Medications - ACE Inhibitors / ARBs (Lisinopril / Diovan / Losartan) - Beta Blockers (Lopressor / Toprol) - Calcium Channel Blockers (Norvasc) - Alpha- receptor Blockers (Clonidine) Diuretics - HCTZ / Spironolactone/ Lasix

  11. Medications Anticoagulants - Coumadin / Warfarin - Pradaxa - Xarelto Antiplatelets - Plavix/ Aspirin/ Effient/ Integrilin/ Pletal

  12. Medications Digitalis - Digoxin / Lanoxin Cholesterol Medications - Statins: Lipitor/ Pravachol/ Zocor/ Vytorin
