  1. Junk In The Trunk – Neighbors Helping Neighbors Benefiting the Mustard Seed of Central Florida Will You Host A Mustard Seed Clothing Drive? We are seeking companies and organizations that will host a Mustard Seed Clothing Drive in this win-win effort. The bottom line is that it takes approximately 2,200 pounds of clothing to ensure that one family will receive all of the basics that make up a comfortable home. Junk In The Trunk Campaign Typical Scenario: You designate a “Junk In The Trunk” day for your employees. On that day, they fill their car will clothing that they want to get rid of, pack the car and upon arrival to work, the Mustard Seed Team unloads their car and gives them a charitable donation letter. You can create competition between departments to see which teams had the “Most Junk In The Trunk.” Purpose: To provide funding to operate The Mustard Seed of Central Florida through small and large scale donation drives. It is no surprise that cash donations to charities such as The Mustard Seed are down considerably during the current economic challenges. Therefore a viable solution for The Mustard Seed has been to find collectable commodities that can easily be converted to cash---cash that funds the day-to-day operation of the Mustard Seed of Central Florida to help our neighbors. Our Mission The mission of The Mustard Seed of Central Florida is to help rebuild the lives of families and individuals who have suffered disaster or personal tragedy by providing household furnishings and clothing. Additionally, The Mustard Seed endeavors to be environmentally responsible to our community.
