Shopping online for autographed items The internet is home to everything. There is absolutely nothing that you cannot buy online- including food. All that you require is a decent internet connection and a device to access the sites on. With these, you can shop online all you want from any corner of the planet. So if you are looking for autographed baseball memorabilia, then you should simply get online and find it. Shopping online makes things so much easier for many people. Do you really have the time to go walking all over God’s creation in search of an autographed baseball card or ball? There is no reason why you should do that in the first place. You do not even have to break away from your busy schedule to go shopping for these items. A quick search on Google will present you with an innumerable lot of options that you can work with. However, you should be very careful when you are shopping online. You do not need to be told that there are so many con artists who lurk behind beautifully-decorated websites. Beware as you shop online There are so many things that you should watch out for when you are shopping online. Online shopping tends to be reasonably priced and at the same time, it is easy to access items. The only problem is that

  2. you might end up with frauds. When you are shopping for autographed baseballs and other sports memorabilia, make sure that you are not buying products of: 1.Autopen This is a machine brand. The signatures are planted onto the items using a machine. They look authentic but if you pay closer attention, you will notice that they actually are not. Autopen is typically used for those glossy publicity photographs and it is compatible with just about any kind of pen. To detect autopen, the letters usually appear a bit wobbly as if the writing surface was vibrating. The signature also ends in dots or it will abruptly break off as if the pen was suddenly lifted from the page. Signatures also tend to be completely identical when they are done with autopen. Regardless of how many times you have written your own signature, it will never look exactly like the previous one. 2.Crude rubber stamping You can easily detect this from a far. The only thing that you should look for is blotted ink. Rubber stamps were prevalent throughout the 70s and 80s. It is therefore possible to get memorabilia that is just stamped. However, you do not want fake stamps nowadays, right? If there is a smudge or bleeding, then that shows that the stamping was done in a hurry. 3.Forgeries These are probably the hardest to detect. There are people who have made it their business to master other people’s signatures. You will get baseball memorabilia that is autographed but it has been signed by a different person. They will spend day and night mastering the signature. In the end, you will get a signature that looks almost completely like the authentic one.
