Action Point 1Increase our Membership Base 25% net increase in membership during 2009/10 (net increase of 74 members) Actions Publish SIG profile in APM network magazine Publish targeted magazine/ journal profiles/articles Promote the SIG through personal networks e.g. “word of mouth” Raise the profile of the SIG through providing quality events Online signup for membership on the APM website

  3. Action Point 2Publish SIG content on APM Website Actions Publish interim content on existing APM website: www.apm.org.uk New APM website being launched in October 2009. Opportunity to launch a benefits management portal as an integral part of the APM website

Action 32009/10 Events Schedule Actions APM Conference – 20th October 2009 – SIG breakout session Joint conference with the APM Contract Management SIG proposed for November 2009 ‘Successful contracting for benefits management’ Regional conference proposed for Q4 2009/10 Annual conference planned for April 2010

  5. Action 4Publish Thought Leadership on Benefits Management Actions Publish thought leadership on benefits management for the APM Conference on 20th October 2009 in London Present on the thought leadership at the APM Conference breakout session

  6. Action Point 5APM Body of Knowledge (BoK) Refresh Actions Establish working group(s) to develop content for the planned refresh of the APM BoK The call for contributions is expected to be issued by APM HQ in late 2009 The new BoK is scheduled for publication in late 2011

  7. Action Point 6Establish new Strategic Partnerships Actions Build relationships with at least 2 other organisations with a strong interest in benefits management to create synergy e.g. OGC, accountancy bodies – cost reduction/financial benefits, Universities etc. Draft v0.1 – For discussion purposes only

  8. Action Point 7e-mail newsletter Actions Develop and issue 3 HMTL e-mail newsletters per year to SIG members Content to be provided to APM HQ for formatting and issue to members Draft v0.1 – For discussion purposes only

  9. Action Point 8Committee Meetings Actions Core committee to meet on a 2 monthly basis (mixture of face to face / conference call). On occasions there may be a need more frequent meetings e.g. when planning major events The frequency of support group meetings should be agreed and incorporated into the terms of reference

  10. Action Point 9Establish a SIG speaker panel Actions Establish a speaker panel to present on behalf of the SIG at APM branch and other events Develop a standard suite of presentations to represent the SIG

Action Point 10Establish strong relationships with other APM SIGs Actions Build relationships with the Chairs of other relevant SIGs e.g. Risk management, Governance, Value Management and others Organise joint-events where appropriate Chair of the Value Management SIG to be invited to attend our committee meetings.
