REMINDER:PagesofFashion Magazine • Parts that are required for your magazine: • Appropriate Cover including title, cover photo(s), cost, date, and short explanations of features inside this issue of the magazine. • Advertisements for the latest fashions in clothing, shoes, jewelry, etc. • One article per person on a political topic of the day and how it relates to fashion.

  3. REMINDERPages of Fashion Magazine • Parts that are required for your magazine: 4. Articles about popular clothing of the upcoming season 5. Any other items that will fill out the magazine – crossword puzzles, fashion “advice columns”, horoscopes, etc.

  4. REMINDER :Individual Duties • Each group member is responsible for 2 pages. • Decide what pages each member will be responsible for • As group decide what style of fashion the magazine will be about or if you decide all kinds, decide what each group member will focus on. • Jewelry, clothes, shoes, handbags, hats, etc. • Divide the tasks evenly.

  5. REMINDER: Photo shoot • REQUIREMENTS: A portrait photo of EACH group member – the magazine editors!

  6. Helpful Hints • Article topics – you can discuss the following: • Do you think that people your age are too concerned with fashion? • How does the way someone dresses reflect who they are? • How important is it for you to have the “latest fashions”? • What is the ugliest trend you have ever seen? • Who do you think determines what is fashionable? Clothing designers? Consumers? Mass media? • Do you consider tattooing a form of fashion? • Dress codes at school? Why to they have them?

  7. Editing Photos • You will need to edit your photos in Photoshop. • Use various Selection Tools to isolate your fashion item. • Examples: GOOD BAD

  8. PRODUCTS – what is required by each person • Individual contact sheet with at least 15 images (MINOR GRADE) • Template (sketch) for 2 page layout (MINOR GRADE) • At least 1 article (MINOR GRADE) • Completed electronic 2 page layout (design, edited, etc.) (MAJOR GRADE)

  9. DUE DATES!! • Wednesday January 25 – Contact Sheet • Tuesday January 31 – Template(sketch) • Friday February 3 – Complete Individual pages • Tuesday February 7 – Combined magazine pages
