  4. Get In the Way Video Contest Create a 60 second video about teen dating abuse and preventiona nd what teens can do to stop it when they see it. First place winner will receive $500. Second and third place winners will receive $100 each. All top winning videos will be featured in our final product created for CDC. Visit the Facebook group Engaging Teen Bystanders PSA Contest for more details.

  5. Math Club Interested in exploring math beyond the classroom? Interested in participation in Math Competitions throughout the area? Then consider joining the Math Club! The Math Club will meet Wednesdays at 2:45 pm with Mr. Hopkins, Room 141. Sign up sheets will be available.

  6. Saturday School There will be no Saturday School on October 8th and 15th. The next Saturday School will be on October 22nd.

  7. PSAT The PSAT will be administered to all 10th graders on Tuesday, October 12th. At a cost of $14.00, juniors can sign up to take the PSAT as well. Juniors who take the PSAT may qualify for Merit scholarships. We encourage juniors to take the PSAT because it is an excellent way to prepare for the actual SAT. See your guidance counselor for more information about the PSAT.

  8. Question of the Week If you are taking U.S. History or Economics, be sure to check the Social Studies bulleting board for your question of the week. Turn in your answer to the office for our weekly drawing. The bulletin board is located on the back hall between the boys and girls stairwells. Only 8 weeks until the EOCT. You gotta play to win!!

  9. Academic Team Academic Team practice will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00 – 4:00 pm Room 106 Anyone is welcome.

  10. Homecoming Results Please congratulate our 2011 Homecoming Court: 9th Grade Homecoming Representatives: Mason A. and Marlyn M. 10th Grade Homecoming Representatives: Taylor F. and Kayla B. 11th Grade Homecoming Representatives: Tanner S. and Collinda S.

  11. Homecoming Results King and Queen will be crowned during halftime at the homecoming game on October 14th. See you at the game!

  12. First Priority First Tuesday of Every Month Room 120 7:00 am

  13. Breast Cancer Awareness October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month FCCLA thanks you in advance for purchasing the special PINK cookies on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The proceeds from the sale of the cookies will go to support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure campaign.

  14. Morning Start Time The National Anthem will begin at 7:30 am. Students not in class at the beginning of the National Anthem are late.

  15. Bibb County Technology Fair The next technology fair work session will be held Thursday, October 13th, 2:45 – 4:00 pm in Mr. Moultrie’s room. This will be a good time for you to work on your project, and get suggestions or constructive feedback on your conceptual ideas. If there are any students interested in participating in the tech fiar and has not made it to any previous meetings, please see Mr. Moultrie ASAP.
