  2. Aims • To practice listening to a presentation. • To look at and identify some phrases which can be used in a presentation. • To practice presenting a new product to each other. • To look at the website for this course.

  3. Before ListeningIntroducing a new product • Tell your partner about a new product or idea which has impressed you in the last year. • Tell them why you are impressed with this product!

  4. Listen and fill in the gaps

  5. Listen again and complete the phrases

  6. Functions – can you colour the functions? • Introducing a talk • Checking information • Explaining benefits • Moving on

Phrases to use • Good, ok, what I’d like to do in this presentation is basically three things. • First I’ll give you a brief overview of the product. • Does that sound ok? • Ok, let’s look atwhat DiScan has to offer. • There are two main benefits of using DiScan. • Now I’d like to move on to some other advantages . . .

  10. Correct the mistakes • I am going to discuss the product and then highlight some benefits ok? • The product is state of the art, no? • About the future uses of this product . . . . • I like to introduce to you one of the most modern product in the market at the moment. • Ok that’s all!
