  3. ISLAS CANARIAS Canary Islands is an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean which forms one of the seventeen autonomous communities of Spain, and one of the outermost regions of the European Union. It consists of seven main islands: El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma and Tenerife, which are the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, which make up the province of Las Palmas.

  4. GRAN CANARIA Gran Canaria is an island belonging to the Canary Islands in Spain. Together with the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura as the province of Las Palmas.The population of the island in 2011 was 850 391 inhabitants, being the most densely populated island of the Canary Islands.The island's capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is the largest city with 383 343 inhabitants of the Canary Islands.The city has one of the largest ports in Spain and Europe, the Puerto de la Luz and Las Palmas.

  7. Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy Brey (born 27 March 1955) is the Prime Minister of Spain, elected on 20 November 2011. He has been leader of the People's Party since 2004. Before, Rajoy was Minister of Public Administration from 1996 to 1999 and Minister of Education from 1999 to 2000; he then served as Deputy Prime Minister from 2000 to 2003. He is the 6th president of Spanish Democracy.

  10. Maspalomas dunes Maspalomas’ Dunes is a natural area located in the municipality of San Bartolomé, south of the island of Gran Canaria (Canary Islands). It counts as a special nature reserve.

  11. Canteras beach Playa de Las Canteras (Las Canteras Beach) is the largest beach of the city of Las Palmas. The beach has 3,100 m long. Is the best urban beach in Spain, and a very good place to visit. Along much of this length, the beach is surrounded by a natural barrier of coral sandstone popularly known as "the bar", which is in easy swimming distance from shore.

  12. Roque Nublo RoqueNublo(Spanish meaning the "Rock Clouded") is a monolith feature that is 80 m tall. It is one of the most famous landmarks on the island of Gran Canaria. The elevation is 1,813 m, ranking it second on the island and one of the tallest in the archipelago. It is located in Tejeda.

  15. The Cathedral of Santa Ana The Cathedral of Santa Ana is the seat of the Diocese of the Canaries in the Roman Catholic Church. It is situated within the Vegueta market and next to the Santa Ana Square.

  16. Alfredo KrausAuditorium The Auditorio Alfredo Kraus is located on the Atlantic, near the Playa de Las Canteras, one of the most privileged areas of the city. Its 13,200 m2 (142,084 sq ft) floor area has 11 rooms which accommodate from large conventions and concerts to conferences

  17. Benito Pérez Galdós Theater The TeatroPérezGaldóswas designed by the architect Francisco Jareño y Alarcón in 1867. Its current appearance, with some modifications, is due to the intervention of Fernando Navarro and Miguel MartínFernández de la Torre after the fire that destroyed it almost entirely in 1928.

BAILES TÌPICOS CANARIOS The isa is a song and dance typical of the Canary Islands, characterized by its upbeat rhythm and colorful, and along with the Folia and the malagueña the main trunk of the Canarian folklore. La Folia: slow dancing and rested. The most beautiful song of the islands. The Malagueña: melodic singing and dancing. It has some similarity with the Spanish fandango. The tajaraste: one of the oldest dances in the Canaries. Live dance and agitated.

  21. Benito Pérez Galdós Benito Pérez Galdós (May 10, 1843 – January 4, 1920) was a Spanish realist novelist. Some authorities consider him second only to Cervantes in stature as a Spanish novelist. He was the leading literary figure in 19th century Spain.

Alfredo Kraus Alfredo Kraus Trujillo: (24 November 1927 – 10 September 1999) was a distinguished Spanish tenor from the Canary islands, particularlyknownfor the artistry he brought to opera's bel canto roles. He wasalsoconsideredanoutstandinginterpreter of the title role in Massenet's opera Werther, and especially of itsfamous aria, "Pourquoi me réveiller?"

  23. César Manrique César Manriquewas born in Arrecife, Lanzarote, and grew up in the area of San Ginés lagoon. He attended the University of La Laguna, but transferred to Escuela Superior de BellasArtes de San Fernando in Madrid for five years in 1945. Manrique had a major influence on the planning regulations in Lanzarote, when he recognized its tourist potential and lobbied successfully to encourage sympathetic development of tourism.

  25. El sueño de morfeo El Sueño de Morfeo is a Spanish band from Asturias. Theirvocalist, Raquel del Rosario wasborn in Teror, in Gran Canaria. Their musical style is pop-rock fused with Celtic, folk rock and indie pop elements. Theyrepresented Spain at Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Contigo hasta el final (With youuntil the end)".

Pedrito Pedro Eliezer Rodríguez Ledesma (born 28 July 1987), commonlyknown as PedroorPedrito, is a Spanish professionalfootballplayerwhoplaysfor FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team, as a forward or winger. During the 2009–10 season at hismain club, FC Barcelona, he became the firstplayer in history to score in sixdifferentofficial club competitions in oneseason (a featlatermatched by teammate Lionel Messi).
