  18. THE HOLY SCRIPTURE  Philippians 4:4‑8 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

  19. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable‑‑if anything is excellent or praiseworthy‑‑think about things such as these.

  22. Our English word “DIAGNOSIS” comes from the Greek word διαγιvώσκω which means “to discover by observing around or through.” Our English word “PROGNOSIS”comes from the Greek word πρoγιvώσκω which means “to project or to predict what will happenbased on that which has been diagnosed.”

  23. EVALUATING OUR CIRCUMSTANCES: 1- Putting our concerns in proper perspective 2- Acknowledging that there are some circumstances which we have no human power to change 3- Where a change in our circumstances IS possible, we have God’s power to make careful, informed decisions

  24. No matter what the DIAGNOSIS of our present situation might be, the PROGNOSIS, that is, the ultimate outcome, can always be in our favor, that is, IF we follow the Biblical prescription found in Philippians 4: verses 6 & 8

  25. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Finally, whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, or admirable ‑‑if anything is excellent or praiseworthy ‑‑ focus on things such as these.

  26. 1- Maintaining a strong communion • with the Lord • 2- Strengthening your relationships • with others • 3- Accepting and caring about yourself and your well‑being • 4- Focusing on that which is • positive and affirming

  27. Philippians 4:7 ‑ THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL HUMAN UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND YOUR MINDS IN CHRIST JESUS.

  28. Rejoice in the Lord because the ultimate PROGNOSIS IS GOOD.

  29. The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s Prayer OUR FATHER, WHO ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE THY NAME. THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD, AND FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS; AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL. FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY FOREVER AMEN.
