  2. AGENDA • Welcome • WHY BYOD? • TEACHER TESTIMONIALS • CENTER ROTATIONS

  3. WHY BYOD? • Technology has become an essential part of education here at North Forest Pines Elementary. Many students’ lives today are filled with technology that gives them access to information and resources, enabling them to pursue their interests in their own way and at their own pace. The opportunities are limitless, borderless, and instantaneous. In an effort to put students at the center and empower them to take control of their own learning, North Forest Pines is piloting a new program called Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). Your child will be part of this exciting pilot program, and we would like to welcome you to our informational parent meeting to discuss the process, procedures, and possibilities of this new endeavor! 6. TEACHER TESTIMONIALS Tomarah Lipscomb Kindergarten Teacher Brandi Turner Second Grade Teacher “There is a moment of awe when providing technology as a resource to students to show their learning. You can almost see their minds open up to a whole new realm of possibility. It’s an instant buy-in and allows kids to work in their best learning style no matter where they are coming from.” • “Using technology in the classroom has helped my students to build self esteem, teamwork, and collaboration across all learning levels.” Christine Munafo Fifth Grade Teacher • “My students light up whenever we get to use technology.
