Revised Proposed Calendar Description
An overview of alternative energy systems including hydroelectric, wind, solar (thermal, concentrating and photovoltaic), and distributed generation using gas turbines.
Energy system performance will be quantified using thermodynamic, fluid mechanic, and heat transfer analysis.
Electricity markets, carbon markets, optimal operation of electricity systems, environmental impacts of transmission networks, regulatory issues.
