  2. Indirect Object • Indirect object is the person who receivesthe direct object or the person who benefits from the action of the verb. • Use the preposition a before an indirect object El peluquera le corta el pelo a la señora. The hairdresser cut the woman’s hair.

  3. Indirect Object Pronoun • Stands for indirect object noun • Can take the place of the indirect object noun or be used together with it • Un cocinero le cocina la comida a Juan. • The cook cooks Juan’s food. • The cook cooks his food.

  4. Indirect Object Pronouns • Me me • Teyou (inf) • Leyou, him, her • Nos us • Osyou • Lesyou, them

  5. Indirect Objects • Often used with verbs for giving or telling something to someone

  6. Dar: to give • Yodoy • Túdas • Usted, él, ellada • Nosotrosdamos • Vosotrosdais • Ustedes, ellos, ellasdan

  7. Decir: to say, to tell • Yodigo • Túdices • Usted, él, elladice • Nosotrosdecimos • Vosotrosdecís • Ustedes, ellos, ellasdicen
