  1. CCF MRP Update to the 3GPP2 Steering Committee October 21 2012 3GPP2 Super Meeting Sapporo, Japan

  2. Our Mission The CDMA Certification Forum is a partnership ofvendors and operators worldwide that develop and maintain test and certification standards to meet prescribed international conformance requirements. CCF Certification benefits • Fast track through operators testing process: Using the CCF process allows vendors touncover issues with their devices before they go through operators' processes or hit the market. • Consistency:Using the same test process for all devices ensures that they all conform to the same standards. • Minimized duplication and cost:Because the test results generated meet most operators' basic needs worldwide, vendors can use these results for multiple operators. • Minimized test time: The efficient streamlined process greatly reduces certification time, and hence shortens time-to-market. The tests are conducted by qualified test facilities and provide the most appropriate level of test coverage under automated, repeatable, and controllable test conditions.

  5. CCF Certification Process Terminal device vendor testing and operator acceptance are outside the CCF Certification Process, but they are still important elements required to get CDMA devices to the market. CCF Certification Operator Acceptance Terminal Device Vendor Testing CORE TESTING OPERATOR-SPECIFIC TESTING INTERNAL TESTING DEVICE ENDORSEMENTS SUPPORTED FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS OPERATOR-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS MARKET ENDORSEMENTS

  6. CCF Certification is made up of 3 elements: Core Testing Device Endorsements Market Endorsements These elements are independent and may be run in parallel CCF Certification Process CCF Certification CORE TESTING DEVICE ENDORSEMENTS MARKET ENDORSEMENTS

  7. Core Testing OTASP/OTAPA and SMS were recently removed from Core Testing.

  8. Device Endorsements

  9. Market Endorsements • CTIA Certification Market Endorsement • Based on the CTIA CDMA Program Management document • Allows for CTIA specific certification requirements to be conducted • Verizon Wireless Module Market Endorsement • Captures Verizon requirements for certification of data modules • Approved in June 2012 • Incorporates many Verizon-specific requirements (e.g. A12, MIP w/DMU, etc.) • Sprint Market Endorsement • Captures Sprint specific requirements for certification of mobile terminals • Latest release Feb 2012 • Focus is on differences in RF Parametric test values (C.S0011 & C.S0033) & Cabled IOT Testing
