  2. Self-Directed Web-Based Training • 適用於行動學習、Simulation，並記錄學習歷程 • 行動學習、Simulation皆是使用者獨自或群組學習並與使用系統前作比對 • 校園心理諮商與輔導、衛教輔導 • 舉例：憂鬱症檢測、自殺傾向診斷 • 以網頁的方式自我檢查，並記錄使用者的診斷記錄，必要時才實際面談心理諮商

  3. Web-Conducted Classroom Courses • 遠距非同步教學 • 舉例：麻省理工學院的「開放式課程網頁」 • http://www.myoops.org/twocw/mit/index.htm • 舉例：淡江大學網路校園-非同步教學 • http://idea.learning.tku.edu.tw/idea/ • 優/缺點 • 適用於推廣教育、為在職進修者增加學習時間的彈性 • 可多次/重覆學習 • 即時性問題需借助e-mail、群組討論、學習社群

  4. 麻省理工學院-開放式課程網頁 • 是個大規模的電子出版計畫，由William and Flora Hewlett 基金會、Andrew W. Mellon 基金會以及麻省理工學院共同出資建立。 • 提供免費、可搜尋的麻省理工學院教材。 • 開放式學習支援網 (Open Learning Support, 簡稱OLS)是一個著眼於建立「社群軟體」的研究計劃，讓非正規學習社群利用現存公開的教材而組織起來。 • 基本前提是完整的教育機會必須讓使用者能夠與能解答其問題或提供支援的其他人建立起溝通管道。

  5. 麻省理工學院-開放式課程網頁 • 以社群網站支援學習及小組討論仍在試驗 • MIT(麻省理工學院)John Williams教授以web-based的三層架構發展了 Caddie.net─課程管理平台(教材與視訊以下載方式) ，特別強調其適應性，教育者不需配合一般LMS的既定有限輪廓，可以客製網站的方式實現教學點子
