The expanding knowledge base Worldwide research and programmatic endeavors during the last few decades have led to: • An increasing array of reproductive health technologies • A considerable body of knowledge about evidence-based practices • A better understanding of people’s health-related behaviour • An increasing awareness of the technical, social and economic determinants of quality and access • An extensive collection of practical experience within countries that could be the basis for making programs work. IBP Knowledge Gateway for reproductive health links people across 185 countries The Global Community unlocks a world of information • Libraries of evidence-based practices and resource materials • Linkages to experts, international agencies, nursing and midwifery collaborating centres, institutions and other centres of excellence • Access to international discussion forums on specific issues • Events calendar and information updates • Announcements • Administrative support and Help-Line • Search of 133 linked websites IMPLEMENTING BEST PRACTICES (IBP) INITIATIVE

IBP Knowledge Gateway promotes collaborative learning in and among countries • Specific Communities of Practice • Helps teams collaborate on products for local use • Creates a library of local resource materials • Helps structure how you work individually or with a team Your networks Knowledge sharing • Provides tools for planning and coordinating group efforts • Keeps track of community events and tasks • Automatically archives all emails and attachments in your community Collaborative learning IMPLEMENTING BEST PRACTICES (IBP) INITIATIVE

IBP Knowledge GatewayGlobal Discussion Forums • Discussions focus on a theme • Led by experts from different countries • Facilitated discussions • Enables individuals to share their opinions experience and adds their voice to policy and practice dialogues • Daily digest of discussions acknowledging the contribution of each person • Members receive one email per day – the daily digest • Weekly summary of the discussion • Resource centre of materials and tools IMPLEMENTING BEST PRACTICES (IBP) INITIATIVE
