  1. Pompeii By Katherine Lopez and Stephanie bravo -Ortiz Pompeii was a Roman town almost 2000 years ago .(August 24, AD 79) Pompeii was destroyed by a volcano called Mount Vesuvius. People were rushing out of their houses to see what was happening. Smoke and fire were coming from the volcano. The sky was thick with ash, turning day into night.
