It may be that they will consider, though they are a rebellious house. 4 By day you shall bring out your belongings in their sight, as though going into captivity; and at evening you shall go in their sight, like those who go into captivity.

It may be that they will consider READ: JEREMIAH 26:3 3 Perhaps everyone will listen and turn from his evil way, that I may relent concerning the calamity which I purpose to bring on them because of the evil of their doings.' NKJV READ: JEREMIAH 36:3 3 It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the adversities which I purpose to bring upon them, that everyone may turn from his evil way, that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin." READ: 2 TIMOTHY 2:24-26 24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will. READ: EZEKIEL 12:5-7 JUDAH'S CAPTIVITY PORTRAYED 5 Dig through the wall in their sight, and carry your belongings out through it. 6 In their sight you shall bear them on your shoulders and carry them out at twilight; you shall cover your face, so that you cannot see the ground, for I have made you a sign to the house of Israel." 7 So I did as I was commanded. I brought out my belongings by day, as though going into captivity, and at evening I dug through the wall with my hand. I brought them out at twilight, and I bore them on my shoulder in their sight.

READ: EZEKIEL 12:8-11 JUDAH'S CAPTIVITY PORTRAYED 8 And in the morning the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 9 "Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, 'What are you doing?' 10 Say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "This burden concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the house of Israel who are among them."' 11 Say, 'I am a sign to you. As I have done, so shall it be done to them; they shall be carried away into captivity.'

QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 12:9-10 9 "Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, 'What are you doing?' 10 Say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "This burden concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the house of Israel who are among them."' WHAT DID THE ASK EZEKIEL? WHAT SHOULD EZEKIEL SAY TO THEM? WHAT DID THEY ASK JEREMIAH? WHAT SHOULD JEREMIAH SAY TO THEM? READ: JEREMIAH 15:2 2 And it shall be, if they say to you, 'Where should we go?' then you shall tell them, 'Thus says the LORD: "Such as are for death, to death; And such as are for the sword, to the sword; And such as are for the famine, to the famine; And such as are for the captivity, to the captivity."' NKJV

  23. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 12:11 11 Say, 'I am a sign to you. As I have done, so shall it be done to them; they shall be carried away into captivity.' WHAT SHOULD EZEKIEL SAY TO THEM? I will bring him to Babylon, to the land of the Chaldeans; yet he shall not see it, though he shall die there.

READ: JEREMIAH 39:4 4 So it was, when Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, that they fled and went out of the city by night, by way of the king's garden, by the gate between the two walls. And he killed all the princes of Judah in Riblah. 11 He also put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in bronze fetters, took him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death. WHAT HAPPENED TO ZEDEKIAH & HIS ARMY? READ: 2 KINGS 25:4-5 4 Then the city wall was broken through, and all the men of war fled at night by way of the gate between two walls, which was by the king's garden, even though the Chaldeans were still encamped all around against the city. And the king went by way of the plain. 5 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and they overtook him in the plains of Jericho. All his army was scattered from him. NKJV

He shall not spare them, or have pity or mercy."' NKJV

Then they shall know that I am the LORD." WHY IS THE LORD DOING THIS? READ: JEREMIAH 22:8-9 8 And many nations will pass by this city; and everyone will say to his neighbor, 'Why has the LORD done so to this great city?' 9 Then they will answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshiped other gods and served them.'" READ: EZEKIEL 6:8-10 8 "Yet I will leave a remnant, so that you may have some who escape the sword among the nations, when you are scattered through the countries. 9 Then those of you who escape will remember Me among the nations where they are carried captive, because I was crushed by their adulterous heart which has departed from Me, and by their eyes which play the harlot after their idols; they will loathe themselves for the evils which they committed in all their abominations. 10 And they shall know that I am the LORD; I have not said in vain that I would bring this calamity upon them."

READ: LAMENTATIONS 5:7-9 7 Our fathers sinned and are no more, But we bear their iniquities. 8 Servants rule over us; There is none to deliver us from their hand. 9 We get our bread at the risk of our lives, Because of the sword in the wilderness. NKJV
